Causelume / engagement terms

Proposal terms for Causelume audits

The measurement rules, fee structure, access boundaries, and spending approvals used to scope audit engagements. The engagement scope records the specific terms agreed for each customer.

The short version

Set the rules before measuring results.

The baseline, comparison design, attribution window, evidence standard, fee terms, and any spend cap are documented in the agreed scope. Causelume does not promise a revenue, ROAS, or profit outcome, and an unresolved result is not treated as verified lift.

01 / before launch

Baseline & measurement

The baseline is documented from an agreed pre-launch period. It includes relevant revenue, contribution margin, media spend, promotions, pricing, inventory, and channel context that could affect the result.

Before launch, the engagement scope records the comparison design and attribution window, along with the relevant data sources, costs, exclusions, and known data timing. These rules are agreed before results are evaluated, not fitted to a result afterward.

02 / evidence

Keep evidence distinct

Evidence keeps its label throughout review. A label describes what the information supports; it does not turn an estimate or explanation into a verified outcome.

VERIFIED
Inputs or outcomes supported by source data and reviewed against the agreed definitions.
ESTIMATE
A calculated or modeled value that still depends on estimated or incomplete information.
HYPOTHESIS
A proposed explanation or opportunity to test, not a confirmed result.

Platform-attributed revenue, modeled demand, or top-line growth alone does not establish incremental contribution profit.

03 / fees

Two separate fee terms

One-time implementation and measurement fee

This fee is scoped after the audit around the agreed baseline, data definitions, measurement design, and decision-ready growth view. It is quote-only; the amount belongs in the engagement scope.

Separate performance fee

A performance fee applies only to verified incremental contribution profit above the documented baseline, using the agreed comparison and calculation inputs. Revenue alone, spend volume, an ESTIMATE, or a HYPOTHESIS is not a fee basis.

Flat, negative, or unresolved results do not incur a performance fee. The fee amount and calculation details are specific to the engagement and are agreed in its scope; no outcome is guaranteed.

04 / data access

Customer-controlled access

The free audit uses the context you submit and does not require an ad-account login. Deeper work adds only the access or exports explicitly scoped for that engagement.

Customers retain control of their data, accounts, and source systems. The agreed scope identifies the information used for the measurement work.

05 / budget authority

Spend and approvals

Media spend and related costs—including production, discounts, and platform fees— are separate from Causelume fees. A specific spend cap, when agreed, belongs in the engagement scope; this page sets no numeric cap.

Budget changes require customer approval. Causelume recommendations are proposals for review; the customer remains in control of what to launch or change.
